Electricity outlets not working in one room

My breezeway electrical outlets stopped working one day. We had our freezer

and pool which was running on an extension cord ( you know the blow up

type) in one outlet for a couple of days. We had not had any problems

before this. The overhead light is still working, just the outlets are

not. We have stitched out the existing outlet hardwear and tripped all our

GFCl switches. The power is okay in the circuit breaker at the electrical 
amp box. The outlets register negative. We would like to remedy this 
situation ourselvesinstead of paying an arm and leg for an electrician.

Seems to be outdoor outlets. Would bet it is probably one of

the GFCI outlets. Possible it could test OK but not feeding through to

next outlet. To test this you will have to turn power off to GFCI then

remove GFCI from box pull clear of box turn power on test both side of

GFCI to make sure you have power in and power out. If not replace GFCI..

It sounds like you are over-loading your extension cord load

max capacity so its draining your capable power. You should only have one

item on extension cord (like Freezer) .it has to be a heavy type !! The

outlet itself may also be burned outed already from carrying such a

load.you could replace it if it tests out bad as well .just food for

thought.you should never extend a heavy duty appliance or big power drain

Did you test ALL of the GFIs??? Some houses have them well

First check your outlet. It is possible for the outlet to go

bad. It is also your cheapest at this point. Next would be to check your

direct fed you maybe able to disconnect the wires at the breaker box and

If you are running equipment off of an extension cord make sure

that it is large enough to carry the load. You probably just tripped a
